The state system of conversion of a scrap and wastes of ferrous and non-ferrous metals has been working for over eighty years. During the years of its existence the system turned into the dynamically developing hightech and technically equipped industrial branch of the national economy of the Republic of Belarus.
Today the State Union ‘Belvtormet’ is a powerful multi-profile organization that ia engaged not only in preparation, processing of scrap metal and deliveries of metal stock to primary metals establishments but also in production of non-ferrous metal alloys founding and range, manufacture of electric motors, consumer electrotechnologies, woodworking machines and light-emitting diode equipment.
In accordance with decree of the President dd. 05.05.1995 №179 in the country must not be ownerless scrap metal. Therefore subjects of business activity and private persons hand over all become outdated, failed, unsuitable for the further use (such as equipment, hardware, tools, a household breakage) in places of acceptance in scrap metal. The State Union ‘Belvtormet’ renders services in the delivery of a breakage from the territory of enterprises taking metal scrap. One of steps to securing of a work convenience is a delivery of a scrap metal by our transport from the territory of enterprises taking metal scrap. At our union more than 350 motor special vehicles carry out this operation.
The state union includes: JSC Belvtorchermet, PE Vitebskvtorchermet, PE Brestvtorchermet, PE Gomelvtorchermet, PE Mogilevvtorchermet, PE Grodnovtorchermet, JSC ‘Beltsvetmet’ with the branch unitary enterprise Tsvetmet (Zhodino), JSC Polesieelectromash (Luninets), JSC Tekhnopribor (Mogilev), a branch Orehovskoe (Povitje, Brest region), JSC The Kobrin Tool Works SITOMO. There are over 5.5 thousand employees living in over 42 towns and other settlements of the Republic of Belarus.
The union enterprises have the state-of-the-art technological equipment(from equipment for scrap processing to assembly equipment and foundry equipment), manned by highly qualified specialists, possess enormous technical and financial and economic potential that helps to solve the wide range of strategic tasks on the way of the technological advance.
